IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING REPEAT PRESCRIPTION ORDERS

We have a new system in place now for ordering your repeat prescriptions.  In order to use the new system, you will need to register for an online Patient Access account, if you haven’t already done so.  In addition to ordering your repeat prescriptions, this Patient Access account will allow you to book appointments online.

Online repeats

If you already have a Patient Access account or have signed up and received a registration letter from the surgery, please select the link below:

https://patient.emisaccess.co.uk/account/login?ReturnUrl=%2F

If you have not already registered, forms can be collected from Reception.  You will also need to bring along in person two documents to verify your identity, one of which must be photo ID.

The documents will be checked for consistency and the applicant compared to the image on the photo ID and true likeness verified.

Acceptable documents are:

  • Photo ID: either a current passport or photo card driving licence
  • Bank Statement: a bank statement which MUST be dated within the last 3 months (for proof of address)
  • NB: utility bills cannot be accepted

PATIENT ONLINE ACCESS

Patient Access is a secure system which allows you to use the online services available from your surgery. Signing up to this service will enable you to book appointments online, order your repeat prescription medications, send secure messages and update your patient details.

Please go to the Patient Access Support website for more information on how this service will benefit you as a patient: https://support.patient-access.co.uk/

Repeat Prescriptions

All repeat prescriptions drugs must be authorised by the medical centre doctors.

Requests should be made in writing either by:

  • requesting online via Patient Access
  • posting to the surgery
  • placing in the Repeat Prescriptions box by the Reception desk
  • putting through the letter box at the surgery when the surgery is closed
  • by fax on 01753 833694

N.B.Repeat prescription requests cannot be taken over the telephone.

Please allow two full working days for completion of the repeat prescription. If you wish your prescription to be posted back to you, please include a stamped addressed envelope with your request.

You may only request items that are your repeat medication. Items you have had just once, i.e. only on one occasion, may not be ordered here and you may need to see the doctor to get them again. Such requests cannot be processed by Reception.

You can also have your prescription sent direct to a nominated chemist electronically.  The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is an NHS service. It gives you the chance to change how your GP sends your prescription to the place you choose to get your medicines or appliances from. Please follow the link to get more details.
